Uldis Rogulis, a distinguished Latvian physicist and professor at the University of Latvia, is internationally recognized for his extensive research in solid-state physics, with a particular focus on optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR). Through the development and application of ODMR techniques, Professor Rogulis has contributed to revealing intricate spin-dependent processes in luminescent and dielectric materials.

Dr. habil. phys. Māris Ozoliņš

Māris Ozoliņš, a distinguished Latvian physicist and professor at the University of Latvia.  His research primarily focuses on color science, human physiological optics, and the development of optical solutions for vision therapy. Professor Ozoliņš has significantly contributed to enhancing image quality through innovative optical and mathematical methods, notably utilizing deformable mirrors to correct optical distortions. His work has been recognized among the most significant achievements in Latvian science, reflecting his impact on advancing optical technologies and their applications in vision science.
